STEREOTACTIC RADIOSURGERY WITH GAMMA KNIFE - WHAT IS IT?
Radiosurgery is a method of high-precision irradiation of intracranial pathologic focus with a large dose of radiation in a single session by using stereotactic technique. Gamma Knife plays a special role in neurosurgical methods of treatment, being a highly specialized tool for non-invasive treatment of a wide variety of intracranial pathologies (oncology, vascular malformations, trigeminal neuralgia).
Welcome to the first "Gamma Knife" center in Russia and the CIS
Over 11 years of experience over 6,000 treated patients
It is the leading clinical research and training stereotaxic radiosurgery center on the Gamma Knife apparatus
No cuts and trepanation, virtually painless
Advantageous cost-effectiveness ratio
Minimal risk of affection of the sense organs
Highest precision of irradiation
Entire procedure takes only a day
Highly qualified doctors
Our neurosurgeons have many years of practical experience of working for the leading specialized institution of the country: N. N. Burdenko Institute of Neurosurgery of the Russian Academy of Medical Sciences. They skillfully combine their work experience with practical knowledge of radiology and stereotactic radiosurgery. This allows to offer our patients an OPTIMAL tactics of diagnosis and treatment, which is not necessarily limited by using only Gamma Knife.
Close cooperation with N. N. Burdenko Institute of Neurosurgery of the Russian Academy of Medical Sciences
Country's Leading experts in neurology, neuro-ophthalmology, otoneurology, neuroradiology, neuroendocrinology and neuropsychiatry consult our patients and give their recommendations before and after radiosurgical treatment. At the Research Institute of Neurosurgery patients (if indicated) can undergo various types of additional examination, not available in most other Russian and CIS institutions:
- Spiral CT brain perfusion
- Whole-body MRI scan in DWI mode
- Single-photon emission computed tomography
- Revision of histological preparations
